The KF02-V620 Y-type machine is a vertical automatic filling and sealing packaging machine featured by KEFAI. The work of this vertical liquid packaging machine starts from bag making of a large roll of film. When the roll film enters the lapel bag maker through the conveyor to be made into bags, and then the intelligent operating system will automatically unload and fill the bags into the bags. Then sealing, the entire filling and sealing process is completed quickly and without leakage, very hygienic and clean, and the whole process is completed in this machine, which is very space-saving. How do vertical form fill seal (VFFS) packaging machines work?
Whether you're new operator to this packing machines or a experienced user who already owns multiple operating systems, you're probably curious about how VFFS works. Below we will briefly explain the working principle of the vertical packaging machine.
1. Film Transport & Unwind
Vertical packaging machines use a single sheet of film material reeled onto a reel, which can be polyethylene, cellophane laminate, foil laminate, and paper laminate, with the film roll placed on a spindle assembly at the rear of the machine. When the VFFS packaging machine is running, the film is usually pulled off the reel by the film conveyor belt, which is located on the side of the forming tube at the front of the machine. At this time, the sealing jaws will clamp the film and pull it down to complete the back sealing.
2. Film keeping tension
During the unwinding process, the film is unwound from the reel and passed through the swing arm of the weighted pivot arm located at the rear of the VFFS packaging machine. The arm contains a series of rollers. As the film is transported, the swing arm moves up and down to keep the film in tension and fix the film in position.
3. Bag making
The plastic roll film is bagged by a bag maker with a specific shape and enters the packaging machine. Please note: a bag maker can only form one size of bag width, if there is a requirement for the size of the packaging bag, the size of the bag maker can be customized. From here the film enters the forming tube assembly. When it reaches the shoulder (the collar) on the forming tube, it folds around the tube, resulting in a final length of film with the two outer edges of the film overlapping each other to form a flat seal
4. Filling and sealing
The operating system of the packaging machine will automatically fill the material according to the data measured by the metering device, seal and cut the bag filled with the material. This is how our vertical automatic filling machine works.
